Bridging the Gap for Greater Returns

With two-thirds of all mergers and acquisitions failing to create shareholder value growth, investors are increasingly looking to improve performance in two areas:

 Pre-transaction due diligence and valuation

 Post-transaction implementation of strategy

With regards to due diligence, the toolkits used are increasingly being reinforced with what is known as "operational" due-diligence. Anpro offers this service to enable potential acquirers to go beyond the data-room figures and better evaluate risk and opportunity. 

Research shows that the people best qualified to run the acquired business are often distracted and overloaded with integration activity once the acquisition has taken place. Later on in the life cycle of ownership, adverse trading conditions or other internal factors may necessitate at best a "vitamin injection" or in some cases even a turnaround programme to achieve the desired exit value.
